Cedar Heights Joins Leader in Me Family
January 19, 2021 8:43 pmCedar Heights Elementary is the 5th Cedar Falls elementary school to join the Leader in Me family. When they committed to moving forward with Leader in Me, they didn’t know it would be during 2020 and a pandemic! But the Cedar Heights team is finding a way to start their Leader in Me journey despite the unusual year!
They are being led by a fearless group of educators who serve on their iCrew Leadership Team- the team paving the way for leadership greatness at Cedar Heights! Kris Plagge, co-coordinator of the iCrew Leadership Team, said this, “I want to help create a leadership culture at Cedar Heights where students and staff are in tune with their gifts and talents and feel empowered to share those gifts with others.”
Cedar Heights has three big leadership rocks this year- adult learning around the 7 Habits, creating a leadership culture with a special emphasis on social-emotional learning, and student learning of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People!
Cedar Heights already has students in action with a few leadership roles. Pictured here are the Gratitude Leaders, who write thank you notes and show appreciation for people who help out at their school.
Welcome to Team Cedar Heights!
