Schools in the Cedar Valley continue to see culture changes that foster leadership and improve GPAs. It’s important to celebrate the work that is being done in our area schools to develop students’ employability skills. This article features the students of Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School.

Our student ambassadors give tours of Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School to community members and prospective families. They are creating an Ambassador Handbook to be used with future ambassadors.
Our monthly Leader in Us celebrations focuses on 7 Habit award winners, games, and lots of pep!
Go-Hawk time students created posters for our drive-through Veterans Day parade.
Several of our student leaders visited the Wartburg College campus. They interacted with college students and participated in some fun activities and lessons focusing on the 7 Habits.
5th-8th grade students were interviewed for school-wide leadership roles.
